"...why the fuck doesnt he just go about it normally its so maddening."
1. I agree, it's annoying.
2. Because boxing is a dirty sport. It has always been so. Even Mike Tyson went through a few tomato can opponents, thanks to Don King. Setups & fixed fights are nothing new.
In the mid-2000's I knew a woman who tried to break into female pro boxing...she fought in a local tournament. The prize money was $600. Know what she was told before the bout? If she slugged it out & won on points then yeah, the six bills would be hers--& if she took a dive in the 3rd round, she'd get $900. She didn't win...but it was a close fight & she didn't take a dive, either. That was the end of her pro "career".

Let me know when Logan Paul agrees to fight someone close to his own age instead of an over-the-hill champ, & I might watch.
Yes, I know about Mike Tyson's legacy & all. But Father Time will not be denied & he ain't no gentleman...as Tyson himself would surely agree.

It put me to sleep, actual disgrace of a fight. And everyone says that jake is a good boxer and I mean sure he might be but like why the fuck doesnt he just go about it normally its so maddening. If hes a good boxer than prove it with equel competition! Just be a boxer!!! Play the sport! Every fight is always some weird matchup or spin on it, so annoying. No clue why mike accepted this and allowed his legacy record to be fucked with, hes the last person that needs the bag hes mike tyson lmao. What an actual waste that match was.
